Spinal Pelvis Stabilizer (SPS) Orthotics are prescribed, flexible, custom made foot stabilizers that are designed to help correct posture problems.  These devices, which are worn inside your shoes, provide support for the three arches of your feet and help your feet maintain their structural and functional balance as you walk, stand, or run.  They stabilize the foundation of the pelvis and spine and reduce abnormal forces and stresses.

Unstable positioning or weakness in your feet can contribute to posture problems in the rest of your body.  SPS Orthotics can help remedy these types of problems because they help keep your feet in a stable position.  Using stabilizers also:

• Helps chiropractic adjustments hold longer and increase effectiveness of care because they limit functional hypermobility
• Permits smoother function and decrease arthritic symptoms because they improve shock absorption, which reduces repetitive stress on joints and muscles.
• Prevents unwanted stress on the body by supporting the foot to control excessive pronation and supination

If we determine SPS Orthotics will benefit you, we take an impression of your feet.  We determine which style of SPS Orthotics is best for you and we send the impression to a laboratory to be used to create your stabilizers.  We will also show you how to wear them properly and how to take care of them.
